Hoot ‘n’ Scoot Was A Hoot!

Our student-driven Spring fundraiser was a success! Thank you to the students and staff who participated in the run, as well as to the spectators and volunteers! Only a few sprinkles, but a whole lot of smiles!

We are still accepting cash and check donations in the school office on Monday, May 20th. But incentive prizes are given based on availability. All funds raised will support year-round PTA-sponsored events and activities like OMSI Night, 5th Grade Biz Town Field Trip, Grade Level Allocations and Teacher Allotments, Art Literacy, Author and Artist Residencies, and Green Team Programs. We also hope to put donations towards enhancing and extending the forest trail to make it a 1/4 mile path creating a safer route to school! If you missed online donating, you can still send in a check or cash with your student on the day of the fun run! Our fundraising goal is $20,000!

Family Education Night on Social Media and Digital Life Citizenship!

pta-connected-icon.png

TCPS PTA hosted a Digital Safety and Citizenship Family Workshop on April 11th. This workshop was made possible by the 2018 PTA Connected with Facebook Grant. TCPS PTA was 1 of 200 PTA’s nationally to be awarded this grant, amongst even more applicants!

Parents and students came together for an evening of learning and conversation. We hope to build on what we experienced and host this event again next year on our own.

Thank you to our PTA for applying for this grant and hosting this event! A huge thank you also goes out to our lead facilitator, Amanda Stein, and her co-facilitators, Scott Stein, Tawnya and Scott Landis, TCPS Librarian-Erica Hironimus, Brenna Burke, and the West Linn High School and National Honor Society students who were so super helpful! We hope the families who participated will keep this important conversation going. Keep talking to your kids about their role and responsibilities when using their tablet or mobile phone.
