WLWV School District-Health/Wellness including Sexuality Education Curriculum Forum for Parents!

The State of Oregon’s Department of Education has developed new Health Education Standards and Performance Indicators for Grades K-12. Oregon school districts are now responsible for identifying curriculum resources to assist in implementing these standards this school year.

The WLWV School District has invited parents to participate in the process and to provide insight and feedback. They are hosting a parent forum on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019 at 6pm at Meridian Creek Middle School.

If you are unable to attend this forum, but would like to provide feedback you may email Dr. Barbara Soisson, Assistant Superintendent (Teaching and Learning) at

The State of Oregon’s Department of Education standards are here for your review.

Winter Craft Fair Is A Success!

A huge thank you to our Winter Craft Fair Co-Chairs, Constance Harris and Mehera Christian! They put so much work, time, and heart into coming up with the crafts, prepping each craft, teaching Leads how to lead the craft, and overseeing this amazing event! Thank you for everything you did to make this event special and memorable for every student.

This event also could not have happened without the dedication of the volunteers. Thank you to each volunteer for spending your afternoon setting up for the event, working with the students, and cleaning up afterwards. Each student took home specially made crafts to either keep for themselves or give as gifts.
